FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is dedicated to preserving, promoting and enhancing the Blue Ridge Parkway, a national treasure. FRIENDS programs focus on preservation, protection and education. Cone Memorial ParkSaturdays and Sundays Moses Cone Memorial Park MP 294 Join rangers for a tour of the second floor of the beautiful, former home of Moses and Bertha Cone (MP 294). Julian Price Memorial Park Ranger Programs
All programs are free and open to the public.
Friday, September 12th 7:30 pm Price Park Amphitheater MP 297 Saturday, September 13th 7:30 pm Price Park Amphitheater MP 297 Campground Evening Programs. Beginning May 24, 2008. Join rangers at the Julian Price Park Campground Amphitheatre (MP 297) for an evening program by the lake. Topics and times will vary. Programs are held on Friday and Saturday nights. Call 828-295-6308 for more information. Healthy Family Programs. Beginning June 6, 2008. Rangers will offer a special "active" program for families this year. Every Friday during June and July, families (and anyone else interested in getting active) can join rangers for hikes and other outdoor activities. Locations, times, and topics will vary.
